Overview
Data retention is the foundation for protecting your company’s liability concerns worldwide.
Abusix understands those concerns and the importance of your compliance and business needs. Whether your needs are driven by local, state, or government regulations or are structured on your legal department requirements, we have you covered.
AbuseHQ allows you to manage your retention periods for the data you care about the most, leading to more secure data.
Customizing how long you retain your data can be done in the following steps.
How to change your Data Retention Configurations
You will need to access the menu within the Admin Portal to access your data retention settings:
- Click on the Settings option under AbuseHQ in the menu
- Select Data from the System Settings menu.
Once your changes have been made, click on the Save Settings button before you leave this screen to apply those changes.
Our Data Retention Standards
- Report Retention
Report data consists of all reports sent to AbuseHQ regarding your network. The max time that AbuseHQ will store this data is 365 days; the default setting is 30 Days. - Event Retention
Each incoming notification that AbuseHQ handles is defined as an Event. Event details are typically what our customers want to keep the longest. The max time that AbuseHQ will store this data is 365 days; the default setting is 30 Days. - Subscriber Retention
Subscriber data is the identifying data that AbuseHQ uses to assign a user to an event. The max time that AbuseHQ will store this data is 365 days; the default setting is 365 Days. - Case Retention
Case data comprises all of the details incorporated in an AbuseHQ case. Because most of the data in the case may need to be more relevant or important, our customers typically decide to shorten case retention. The max time that AbuseHQ will store this data is 365 days; the default setting is 180 Days. - System Log Retention
System Logs contain all logs related to the AbuseHQ platform. - IP Retention
These are the IP addresses configured for your AbuseHQ instance which fall under your network and control.
