Abusix Acceptable Use Policy (AUP)

Effective: July 13th, 2026 · Version: 1.0

This Acceptable Use Policy (the “AUP“) governs use of the Abusix Services and is a Supplemental Document to, and forms part of, the Abusix Cloud Services Agreement (the “Agreement“). Capitalized terms not defined here have the meaning given in the Agreement. Abusix may update this AUP on notice in accordance with the Agreement.

1. Scope

This AUP applies to Customer and all End Users. Customer is responsible for ensuring its End Users comply with this AUP and is liable for any violation as if it were Customer’s own act.

2. Prohibited Conduct

Customer and End Users will not, and will not permit or assist others to:

2.1 Unlawful or infringing use. Use the Services in any manner that amounts to illegal activity, infringes or violates the rights of others, or violates any applicable law or regulation, including where Customer has not obtained permissions or authorizations required for Abusix to perform its obligations, or where Customer is restricted from transmitting certain information via the Services (including in relation to unsolicited email).

2.2 Harmful code. Introduce, distribute, or transmit any virus, malicious code, vulnerability, or other item of a harmful nature, or take any action that could reasonably be expected to interfere with, impair, or disrupt the Services, or cause Abusix to be placed on any blocklist or denylist by an internet service provider.

2.3 Prohibited content (“Collateral”). Upload to the Abusix platform any content that: (a) infringes intellectual property, publicity, or privacy rights of any third party; (b) is defamatory, libelous, threatening, or harassing; (c) violates applicable law (including laws relating to obscenity or pornography); or (d) purports to originate from a governmental agency (including law-enforcement, tax, or immigration agencies). “Collateral” means Customer’s own written, photographic, or video content or material uploaded through the Services. If Abusix receives notice that Collateral breaches this Section, Abusix will, where lawful, promptly notify Customer, and Customer will immediately remove the Collateral.

2.4 Commercial misuse. License, sell, rent, lease, transfer, or grant rights in or access to the Services for commercial gain, or provide the Services to any unaffiliated third party on a timeshare or service-bureau basis.

2.5 Reverse engineering and circumvention. Copy, disseminate, allow unauthorized access to, disassemble, reverse engineer, or decompile the Services or any component; reverse engineer any Abusix threat data or its addresses; or circumvent any technical restriction or usage limit.

2.6 Security. Attempt to interfere with or disrupt the Services, or gain unauthorized access to any systems or networks connected to the Services, except as required for authorized use.

3. Threat Data, Special Terms

Because the Services include threat intelligence and abuse-management data (“Abusix Threat Data“), Customer may use the Abusix Threat Data as part of, and to develop, improve, and sell, Customer’s own products and services, including to protect Customer’s own network and end-users. Customer and End Users will not:

(a) resell, redistribute, sublicense, or otherwise make the Abusix Threat Data available on a standalone basis, that is, where the Abusix Threat Data itself, rather than Customer’s own product or service that incorporates it, is what is provided to a third party. Authorized channel partners may resell the Abusix Threat Data only as expressly permitted under their reseller agreement or the applicable Order Form;

(b) use the Abusix Threat Data to build, train, enrich, or contribute to any dataset, blocklist, feed, or service that competes with Abusix;

(c) use the Abusix Threat Data to identify, target, harass, or cause harm to any individual;

(d) remove, obscure, or alter any attribution, and where redistribution is expressly permitted, Customer will pass through equivalent restrictions to its permitted recipients; or

(e) cache, store, or retain the Abusix Threat Data beyond the period reasonably necessary for the permitted purpose, or after termination of the Services.

In short: building your product on top of Abusix data and selling that product is fine; reselling Abusix’s data by itself is not (except for authorized channel partners).

4. Email and Anti-Spam

Because Abusix operates email-security infrastructure and reputation systems, Customer and End Users will not use the Services to send, facilitate, or support unsolicited bulk or commercial email, or any email that violates applicable anti-spam or electronic-communications laws (including the U.S. CAN-SPAM Act, the EU GDPR and ePrivacy rules, and equivalent laws). Customer will maintain lawful sending practices and will not take any action that could cause Abusix’s networks, IP addresses, or domains to be listed on a blocklist or denylist.

5. Enforcement

Any use of the Services in breach of this AUP or applicable law, or that threatens the security, integrity, or availability of the Services (in Abusix’s reasonable judgment), may result in suspension or termination of access in accordance with the Agreement. Abusix will use commercially reasonable efforts to give notice and an opportunity to cure before suspending, except where delay would cause harm. Customer will defend, indemnify, and hold Abusix harmless from any third-party claim or regulatory action arising from Customer’s breach of this AUP.

6. Reporting

To report a suspected violation of this AUP, contact [email protected].
