Vodafone Ireland partners with Abusix to Handle Copyright Complaints

Karlsruhe, Germany, November 30, 2021: Abusix, a leader in network security providing solutions for mail security and abuse report handling, has announced its partnership with Vodafone, which is headquartered in Ireland. The telecom giant uses Abusix’s SaaS abuse management platform, AbuseHQ, to efficiently manage their copyright complaints, streamlining their legal compliance process.

By integrating AbuseHQ into their system, Vodafone Ireland is now able to quickly extract any data that may be subpoenaed or ordered by a court. Additionally, the platform has helped improve Vodafone’s data retention practices.

“Abusix gives us peace of mind, ensuring we operate within the legal boundaries required for copyright matters,” said Rory Ardagh of Vodafone Ireland. “Abusix has enabled us to further improve customer service by notifying them about security issues sooner.”

AbuseHQ has been instrumental in helping Vodafone Ireland establish the necessary processes to handle copyright complaints in compliance with legal requirements. If a complaint is sent to Vodafone, AbuseHQ automatically triggers the three-strikes notification process mandated by IRMA, helping Vodafone stay compliant with court orders. In the past 120 days alone, Vodafone has handled 1,400 complaints from IRMA and over 5,000 complaints globally.

Vodafone has been using Abusix technology since early 2020 to automate their three strikes notification complaint process. “By working closely with our team, Vodafone has been able to fully automate the identification, notification, and tracking of their complaints, improving efficiency and compliance across both legacy and non-legacy customers,” said Tobias Knecht, founder and CEO of Abusix.

Abusix helps businesses mitigate risks, protect subscribers, and enhance profit margins by automating key processes. Abusix collaborates with several ISPs, cloud providers, and also enterprises to detect and neutralize network abuse in real time, helping these organizations manage the increasing volume of global network abuse.
