1. What is your role at Abusix?
Global Marketing Manager
2. When did you join the Abusix team?
3. What do you like most about working here?
The team-spirit is great! I love the way how things are getting done without having to go through several hierarchy-levels. This also shows the level of trust we have in each other’s decisions and actions.
4. What does an average day for you look like?
I’m happy to say that there’s no day like the other. It’s all about coordinating, prioritizing, and thinking of new ways how to position Abusix in the market. Testing plays also a huge part in my daily work. And meetings of course!
5. What is the most challenging part of your job?
I’d say prioritizing is pretty hard, especially when there are so many great ideas we could go after. And with that comes the challenge to say „no“. But saying no means saying yes to other things, therefore I’m good with that 😀
6. How would you explain your job to your mom?
She knows what Marketing is, but it gets much harder to explain what Abusix does, but this is what I tell her: „We make sure that you only receive eligible emails and filter out all the bad emails, like spam and phishing (for AMI), and if for some reason, there’s still a bad email going through and infects your account, we then have a solution for companies that will automatically tell them there’s a compromised account within their network. Then, there’s a lot of automation going on, and you as the end-user will get notified about the steps you need to take in order to fix that.” (for AHQ)
7. Which sources help you to stay up to date?
LinkedIn, Medium, my colleagues, peer-support groups like Finite, blogs like buffer, Hubspot, serachengineland, and many more.
8. What is your favorite app you couldn’t live without?
1Password & Spotify
9. What are your passions/ hobbies/ interests?
I’m a foodie! So everything around food excites me 😀 (I also do make my own bread). Being outside and combining that with a good workout in nature makes me really happy 🙂
10. Tell us a random fact about you!
Back in 2007, I was doing a high-school year in the US. In my first week, I went to an audition for a play. I didn’t have any intentions to get a role, but then I ended up playing one of the protagonists: Mowgli from the Jungle Book 😀
