Data channels allow our customers and third parties to become an integral part of a global community-fighting abuse on the internet.
Data channels permit you to send abusive behavior reports, abuse@ network reports, spam trap and “This is Spam” data and system log and MTA transaction data directly to our Abusix systems.
Benefits
Reporting abusive behavior about other networks allows us to consolidate this data, which helps our affected customers they can secure their systems. Forwarding abuse reports from your abuse@ role address, web form submittals, or edge systems allow you to take action on problems within your network.

Use Cases
Sending data into your own AbuseHQ Instance
Are you already using AbuseHQ? If so, Data channels allow you to send us your abuse report data directly to AbuseHQ to enrich your (AbuseHQ) instance. This additional information helps us sort incidents in cases and thus enables us to provide you with a more efficient service.

Reporting abusive behavior
We also offer a way for you to share your abuse report data with us. Contrary to the former case, data will be used not only by your AbuseHQ instance but also by AbuseHQ instances responsible for the report and other services. The benefit here will be that your cases will get resolved more efficiently since they will be forwarded to the right people faster.

(a) When you “send data to your AbuseHQ instance” by default, this data is only available for you. (b) When you “report abusive behavior,” you are providing consent to share your data with us so that we may share it with any applicable Abusix Customer (e.g., if you report abuse that is for an IP address under your management, you are the applicable customer, and the incident is shared only with you).
Sending an SMTP transaction feed
The SMTP transaction feed helps improve the accuracy of Abusix Mail Intelligence by enriching the traffic volume attributes we use in our algorithms. This includes, but is not limited to, classifying genuine mail servers, identifying new infections, and spotting hosts targeting your systems.

After you have set up your Data Channel, we will check the data for mapping and its completeness. The data will then be streamed to your requested location if all is well.
Submitting Data
It’s simple to set up a Data channel via the wizard. We offer three wizards to submit data: via an SMTP forward, via an API call with a XARF object, or by sending MTA data via UDP.
