Management Team

Tobias Knecht, Chief Executive Officer

Tobias began his career as a contracting project and process manager for IBM Germany and Procam GmbH. In 2003 he joined Schlund+Partner and established the worldwide Abuse Department for the merged brands of United Internet (1&1, GMX and web.de).Tobias joined Habeas as European Manager for E-Mail Policy and Abuse Handling in 2007. After the acquisition of Habeas by Return Path he was a consultant for Return Path and many other companies in the field of email and internet security. End of 2008 he co-started the so called “Global Reporting Project” which led pretty fast into the incorporation of abusix. He holds a bachelor's degree in Computer Science.
Tobias is the kind of visionary founder who is able to thrill an audience with his enthusiasm. He is Co-Chair of the RIPE Anti-Abuse Working Group and Co-Chair of the Email Working Group at the German ISP Association.

Thomas Szukala, Chief Software Developer

Thomas is an experienced software developer and a proven security/anti-abuse specialist. He is in business for 10 years now and gained experience at MCI Worldcom and Web.de/1&1. He is the geeky MacGyver-type solving unanswerable questions all the time.

Simon Pirschel, Lead Developer & System Administrator

Simon gained experience in programming and as system administrator for 5 years now and made his way at Gameforge in several management roles. He is able to setup and scale systems to what's needed. Simon is the type of Developer & Administrator who performs 1000 tasks with one action. He loves cloning and scaling Linux droids dreaming of electric sheep.
